If you want access to places, Split on its own would be a better choice than Trogir - yu don't have to stay in the immediate town centre where it's busy and noisy. Do you realise that Dubrovnik is at the furthest point South of Croatia - not far from the Montenegro border. From desk research, I could jot down following towns as tourist places in Croatia. Larger places take cards but small cafes and bars are cash only. There are plenty of cash points around (watch out for the ones that charge high fees). If you have a card like revolut the app has a cash machine finder. I haven’t used it in Dubrovnik but it was fantastic in Italy. Reply.It really depends if you're looking for really intense nightlife or a quiet, relaxing time. Hvar is the former and Brac is the latter. Both offer amazing nature and a rich itinerary in culture and gastronomy. Brac is also better for sports, adventures etc. The view from the Vid's mountain is precious and can't be matched by any view from Hvar.
Split is the second largest city in Croatia and has a vibrant all year life - Trogir is tiny and beautiful. They're both great - if you plan to use the ferries then Split may be better but if you are visiting Krka, Primosten and other northern places then perhaps Trogir. 9. …
