Posted October 9, 2016. Update: I did eventually get compost. I wish I knew exactly how long it took, but I estimate it was roughly 2 weeks in game or so. Eventually a sprite showed up in compost bin indicating I had compost available. An empty dirt bag and a trowel was all I needed to 'harvest' it. Kuren.This will open the crafting menu. But using the right click menu > carpentry > furniture > rain collector barrel, worked. So maybe it's not a "recipe" and it's just something you build . Compost is the only real use I’ve found. In public multiplayer I used them as “rat poison” by mixing them into salads to kill off people who stole from us while we were offline. Just an idea, maybe something like this is already available through a mod that i haven't found yet, but for all the rotten vegetables and meat, could they be used for composting? With that u could make homemade fertiliser which in turn could be used on your farm. Possibly in line with carpentry, make a composting bin, put in rotten food, and give 3-7 days, have readymade fertiliser :D. Just ...
