John deere 318 motor.
Hi Guys, I bought a 318 over the weekend. I had one before and decided to get another one. For some reason it surges, engine ramps up and down. I put in a new fuel filter, new air filter, oil filter, fuel pump. Looks to be getting plenty of fuel. I'm guessing the carb may need to be pulled and cleaned and pull the gas tank and clean it out.

He said they had problems with the gx670 overheating ( newer style honda motors), but not the gx620. Found out the clutches are different between the honda and ownan, but had clutches for 149.00.
