So I decided to look at replacing the cougar which is my current bedside gun with a gun more similar to a shield that can also hold a light and 15+ rounds of 9mm while having a thinner and better feeling grip than a cougar.

I had two VP9's (still have one) IMO, The P-10 is the better pistol, it shoots flatter, is just as accurate, not as complex as the VP9 is internally, and is the correct size for a CCW. I think HK got the size of the VP9 wrong. There is less difference between the P99 and VP9 than the P99 and the P30 even though the P30 was HK's answer to the success of the P99. Of course, the PPQ ate everyone's lunch and then VP9 came out. Again, the VP9 matches exactly the 1990s Walther P99.
