I now have/use a TC Triumph which I like, I have also picked up the TC Impact because it was to cheap to pass up at wallyworld 2 years ago and I like that gun. GF uses the Impact and we put a cheaper vortex scope on it.

The Optima is on the back of the guard and haven’t had any problems whatsoever. I now own an Accura MR Nitride. It may possibly be the best hunting muzzleloader ever produced.

However, in my opinion, the opening/closing latch on the Optima V2 is a way more better than the latch on the Wolf. My choice would be the Optima V2, because of the latch mechanism.This is a great little entry ML but if you have the extra money I would buy either the Optima, Accura V2 or MR (Mountain Rifle). BUT .... the CVA Wolf is still a great ML with a very good price point. I will be upgrading in the fall of 2015 - maybe this year if I sell my Wolf.
