Buncombe County Detention Facility. The Detention Facility is made up of the main jail facility and a jail annex, which together have a total housing capacity of 604 inmates. Our facility requires 160 staff, working in shifts, to operate in full and to provide food and care for the inmates. We house an average of more than 500 inmates daily.
