Bg3 mods not working vortex.
Posted January 30, 2021. The message may be misleading. The staging folder has to be on the drive where the game loads its mods from. In 99% of games that _is_ the game folder, but BG3 loads its mods from the Documents folder (which is usually on C:). So the suggestion of putting it on C: is correct.

Bg3 mod manager will give you the least headache. Multiple mods specify they will not help with vortex trouble shooting. Apparently vortex works with bg3 now but either at your own risk. As someone who has used both, vortex is honestly more accessible for most people and its what I introduced my partner to first.
