I have always used Mobil 1 full synthetic motorcyle oil and a Honda oem filter but was at the auto parts store where i buy the oil and they had these filters listed in the book for the VTX 1300. Its specific heat capacity is only 80% that of 50/50 EG/water at 212F and its viscosity is 3.3 times higher at that temp. This means that it flows more slowly through your engine AND removes less heat than 50/50 EG/water. A double-whammy.
