I got the always on version. The problem with the always on is it isnt really always on. In low light situations, the dot dims and then disappears. By low light, I mean at night outside on a moonlit night or at night with normal nightlights in a house. I would have ranked this optic a 5 star optic, but there is a MAJOR design flaw in it. In order to save battery, Swampfox states "In very low light conditions Sentinel-A’s dot will become very difficult or impossible to see."
