The default world settings seems too aggressive for me as I try to figure out simple concepts. Looking at the custom game settings there are a lot of options. Any thoughts on easy settings that will allow me some time to get used to the game and it's mechanics and ramp up the difficulty slower (but not be terribly boring). Thanks!#1. I've ran a game with those settings. The answer in full is: If you get infected your character will get the queezy moodle and will gain stress for about 2-3 days. Respawn really won't affect the difficulty that much, but it would make clearing up the areas more meaningful. #4.

Turn down the starting population and either turn down the peak or extend the time until it reaches the peak. I'd also suggest turning transmission to saliva only (so only bites can turn you) or off entirely. Yes, no matter how you die you'll come back zombified similar to the walking dead. You still won't die from it unless the active strain is transmitted by bite, laceration, or scratch.
