The throttle body is a part of the ESC system, and if any part of the system shows a fault, the ESC is automatically disabled. The problem will probably come back after a while. .A flashing odometer is telling you there is an internal problem or fault in the system. Most likely the instrument panel. There could be a recall or a TSB out there on that problem. Most of the time they simply have to reprogram an onboard computer of which there are a few.
