The Basics. - There are water, air and fire gems. For each type there are also Empowered Gems. - Gem sockets unlock at levels 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 20, 23, 26 and 30. - In total there are 3 Gems of each element, 1 of which is the Empowered Gem. - Each gem starts out with 1 to 3 different stats. The order of stats does not matter. If not, you’ll need to buy empowered gem boxes or craft them in the shadow crafting bench. The crafting cost is one lunar soul per box, so you’ll want to get your 18 souls every week from opening shadow caches in delves. You can also get them from weekly leaderboard rewards, so play often if you want a chance at those. 3. I'm at the point where I need 3 stat stellar to even consider not auto collecting them.
