Gen1 B58 owner here. 35k miles with a stage 1 tune since 31k miles, OEM downpipe and intercooler. Never dealt with any serious repairs asides from usual maintenance like oil changes every 5k etc. Great power output and reliability from my experience. I would get another B58 car if I could. The B58TU in the Supra is quite different from the B58 in the F30 340i. Doing an engine swap with the complex electronics of the B58/ZF8 is basically nonsensical, given how many different types of cars they came in and the cost of doing so.
