I’ve been a big fan of gran turismo and it taught me a lot of how to skillfully handle the tarmac. Rocket around the first corner as fast as you can take the corner in 4th gear and hit the apex then brake into to the turn you take before the goal. In racing Smooth is fast, fast is smooth. It is grindy and always will be, but if you enjoy tuning and trying out different cars, there are lots of ways to make your own fun. There are still only 4 big-payout races (over 400k) but there are also plenty of smaller races that pay 100-200k as well. Just beware that there are legendary cars that cost 20 million.
