Multi-Hit is a sandbox option: Character > Weapon Multi-hit. Aim outline is a game setting: Options > Cursor > Aim Outline > "Any Weapon". If you play Apocalypse, Multi-Hit is disabled by default. Aim Outline is disabled by default on any mode since it's an option setting. Most people talk about multi hit without knowing the weapon stats. Even with with multi hit on, there is a limited amount of zombies you can hit at once with said weapon. Many weapons are limited to 2, some bigger one its 3 but rarely more unless modded. 2 isn't that much when you are facing a horde of 50zombies.
