Nice sandy beach when we visited May 21, 2023. Waves look small but very strong. Partly cloudy skies kept us cool. We arrived early on a Sunday about 7:30am. Parked across the street from the beach. FYI - Magic Slams beach is what it's called at Kona Community Hospital. Visitors be warned. My husband dislocated his shoulder body surfing.
