I recently purchased a MTD Yardman lawn tractor mower model 13A2695G062 serial 1B047H10124 which I believe is a 1997 series 690 tractor sold by Lowes. It has a Hydro-Gear hydrostatic transmission model: 718-0255A, cross Reference: 313-0650, serial 7002T2131. Open your bypass valve using the drive release levers located at the rear of your zero-turn. Start your mower, increase the throttle at a fast idle, and release the parking brake. Move the drive levers forward and then reverse 6 times to remove air from the system. Close the bypass valve and repeat the process.May 9, 2023 · Step 1: Check the tensioner of the belt. Both hydrostat fans turn by engine belt. 2. Parking brake is working correctly -. 3. Hydrostat can be turned by hand w/ bypass valve in or not in bypass mode - this is not good. However it is much easier to turn the wheel w/ the bypass valve out or in bypass mode. 4. I find it hard to believe that both hydrostats went bad @ the exact same time.
