I had this happen when I had my 2003, I thought it was my brake box, but I found out that if you have the climate control set to blow out the vents, which is all the way counter clockwise, it is like it is trying to move the door under the dash too far and I would get a clicking sound.What you are describing is the common type writer tick. Very common after an oil change. Basically you get some air trapped in the lifter oil passage and it takes a bit of time for it to work out.
