Happy Friday Corvette fans!! Here is a quick update I wanted to share regarding C8 Corvette production. Obviously, we have gone yet another week without receiving any of the three major points of info still needed for the 2023 Corvette Z06. As of now, we are still waiting on pricing, the Z06 order guide, and initial allocation numbers to dealers.

Earlier this month, Chevrolet promised a new round of allocations for the 2023 Corvette Z06, and today they began releasing those numbers to dealers.. We personally spoke to several dealers so far this morning, and they have received their "estimated shipping report" detailing how many allocations they will be receiving for the next order cycle.

The breakdown for yesterday’s Z06 production was 52 regular models and 11 70th Anniversary Editions. For the year, 1,329 regular Z06s have been produced as have 216 70th Anniverary models for a total of 1,545 Z06s. The plant will be closed this Friday and Monday for the Easter holiday.That won’t be happening this year. GM will begin accepting 2023 Corvette orders with the March/2 consensus cycle which will begin the week of March 31st. Dealers will be able to start entering 2023 Corvette orders on March 24th. That wasn’t it, in May of 2021 C8 production was stopped due to a shortage of TREMEC DCT parts coming from Mexico. In September of last year, it was reported that parts shortages had made numerous C8 cosmetic options unavailable, these included red-painted brake calipers, chrome wheel locks, and the high-wing carbon spoiler.
