As a morde main, when going into this matchup I look to break passive with E so that I can ult right after or soon after. so if you lose passive especially post 6 play back a bit so it’s harder for morde to ult. Also q poke works well as if you keep making Morde use his shield to heal from Q it doesn’t build up that much. Jungle Mordekaiser is stupid strong and playable into Master and Grandmaster given enough practice and skill. He has stupid good clear speed especially in season 13, his tanks pre-6 leave a lot to desired but are doable. When you hit level 6 you enjoy unescapable ganks with very little counter play. Olaf & Trundle are natural counterpicks for both old and new Morde. Their single target damage in the early game is too much to handle. Trynd should be a problem to new Morde too. The main points of my "rant" are: Morde lacks initiation to the point where he can't do shit without help. He gets outscaled by most champs while being poopoo early game. He has no clear win condition other that "ult priority targets" which is just the same as Darius or Garen executing someone.
