Spotters Report Hemphill to SA sight. Reed Kimzey recently shared a picture of a milled rear sight that had a smaller than usual H in shield. Here we have a similar sight but with the SA mark for Springfield Armory. It is unknown if it has the usual crossed cannons on opposite side which is typical of SA rear sights.

The stake marks are evidence of an adjustable rear sight being installed, but that would have been later. I also read that all Armory and contractor rebuilds outside of the U.S. were not allowed to use rebuild marks.
