Aug 7, 2018 · I least you got your M14 repaired. I am new to the M14 I always wanted a M14/M1A for a few years now so I bought the JRA Classic Military M14 when I had sufficient funds. Had to by some cleaning supplies and stuff for my M14 as well. I know my M14 is made with new parts instead of M14 USGI parts but that is fine by me. LRB and Bula are generally considered the best builders of forged receivers. A good M14 is as reliable as an M1. I would say a Springfield M1A falls in that category. I am with the others here: take advantage of Springfield's warranty and don't change a bunch of parts out. My personal M14 is a JRA, with the receiver made by Bula.The receivers are plainly marked with the manufacturer's names, both Bula and JRA. The serial number logged is the number on the heel. ... Jul 1, 2021 · I bought a JRA M14 back in 2018 but it was defective. I would load a magazine, pull the charging handle and would fire the first round fine. But it failed to eject the spent case and pull a new loaded shell from the magazine. I bought my JRA at Classic Firearms and when I called the for an RMA they put me in touch with Bula Defense.

I see dupage trading has jra m14 with bula barrels for 1995$ . Does anyone have any input on these? The reviews are kind of 50/50. A nice M14 style or M1A would round out my collection nicely. I intend to shoot matches with whatever I get. Is the dupage deal better than a standard Springfield m1A?
