Yes I will agree these radios are low on modulation from the factory. The Uniden Bearcat 880/980 series isn't a radio you can just "peak and tune". They aren't set up for big mods. You CAN adjust modulation, as there are a few guys doing it, but that's about where it ends for mods. There are places that will tune it up.
