Review of Hilton Waikoloa Village. Reviewed February 26, 2012. Some people in the past disliked the Luau. For $109 it was great food and a good show. Don't waste you money getting preferred seating. General seating was just fine, yet if you're the last table to go up to the buffet, you'll still be eating when the show starts.

There is pretty good distance between the towers, restaurants, parking lot etc. We stayed in one of the non-refurbished rooms in the Ocean Tower. We played at the Hilton Waikoloa Tennis Centre during our stay on the Big Island from mid-November to just before Christmas 2014. The facilities are great, and the staff are outstanding! We have stayed at tennis-centric resorts on three continents, and the Hilton Waikoloa was far and away our most enjoyable tennis experience ever.

Hilton Waikoloa a horrible experience. The ocean tower is a horrible place to take a family for a vacation. The pools were shut down for more that half of the vacation time (8 days). Water was shut down for a night. There were cockroaches in the room bringing big questions about the cleanliness and hygiene of the place.
