Even the P226 feels downright svelte compared to the Prodigy. Edited to add: Springfield continues to list a weight for the 4.25" Prodigy as 32.5 oz. It's not - mine weighed 37 oz on a digital scale. Both the prodigy's were $1400 OTD at a lgs. so $1,000 savings vs the Staccato for me (for 1 Prodigy vs 1 Staccato). Of course now I want the P, cause buy all the guns. I loaded all to 20 rounds with 124gr NATO loaded by Winchester. From a locked back slide, with a loaded 20rd mag in my Staccato P, I was able to depress the 10-8 (OEM to Staccato) slide release, and chamber and fire all cartridges. The problem arose upon rounds complete.
