If that is a newer round barrel (not octagon) Rossi the barrel is already drilled and tapped for a scope mount under the rear barrel sight.The Rossi 62s have a dovetail slight available but it extends to far back. There are two side mounts available; a B Square and a Sun Optics but both are unsatisfactory. One of the issues with a dovetail only mount is that the lightweight 92 experiences quite a bit of recoil energies, any way you want to measure it.Winchester's rear sight elevators on their lever guns like the Model 92 and Model 94 were at one time were actually designed to allow a properly regulated rifle to zeroed at 50 yards on the bottom step with each higher step in the elevator moving the range out another 50 yards (100, 150, 200, etc).

It is a Cylinder and Slide fixed rear sight for a S&W. The partial slot is larger than the C&S sight's front part - so that fits OK. You do need to drill and tap the top strap.
