Nov 24, 2021 · I am in need of some help making a decision. I just traded for a new CZ 457 Varmint 22 LR. I have narrowed my choices down to either the KRG Bravo or the MDT XRS. The only chassis I have ever owned was an Oryx. I know that I don't want to go that route again. As far as ergonomics go, they appear to be pretty close. I like the Bravo, but the X-ray is not the "chassis look" version of the bravo... its essentially the polymer/less adjustable version of the Whiskey-3. Completely different between the X-ray and the Bravo. Having held and handled a couple Bravo's, the X-Ray is definitely more like the Whiskey-3...which is why I got it.I got a bravo in fde from the krg site. It checked all the boxes on my list. Krg charged$349 for the stock and $30 for shipping and it only took a few days to get here. Both the bravo and the xrs can readily accept an arca rail just bolting it on. The b14r would take more work. Going with the MDT xrs also let's me add a different companies product so I don't have 2 different tikkas in 2 krg chassis. Now I will have 2 tikkas in different chassis. Long story short I'm going T1x in an MDT xrs fde color.

The XRS forearm is a little longer and I can get the bipod out further than on a regular Bravo. I extended my Bravo with the KRG spigot mount. The XRS has 3 M-LOK slots on the sides whereas the Bravo has two. The M-LOK attachments will attach to plastic on both.
