OK, received the replacement from Keltec and decided to go ahead. To disassemble pushed out the roll pin near the bolt's ".22 WMR" stamping. The pin has a spring running thru its center that keeps the pins back except when stuck. Just 3 pieces to deal with the roll pin, spring, and firing pin.

They were rude and unprofessional, didn't offer any solutions, except to tell me to bite the bullet and pay 120 dollars to ship it back for the " free" warranty.

I also did as Percevel suggested and compared magazines and the updated one has a stainless steel spring where my others don't. Both are the same length and have the same amount of turns.
