The car will cool to comfortable temps but I use "Max a/c" which limits itself to vents and recirculation. The airconditioning isn"t as strong as I'd like but is adequate. Well, I'm strongly guessing it's a refrigerant leak as the video says. Defective air mixing gates are of course possible, but not very likely with my little use of the AC so far. If it works this way, the left-right temperature diff may show late in normal usage when it's not too hot, because the dual control will work to keep the set temperatures by mixing in less warm air on the left side.

This is most likely due to the Refrigerant being very low, and there is a a pressure sensor in the A/C system that detect the low pressure due to low refrigerant, and stops the Compressor from engaging.
