1 Answer. I take it you mean when you pull on the handle it will not open. If the handle is loose, like nothing connected, then the plastic latch mechanism is broken leading from the handle to the lock. It’s obviously a 2009-2014 f150. Close enough. OP - agree with the broken wire being the cause. Slide the rubber boots in both door hinges to the side, unwrap the sticky felt, and inspect the wires going into the door/frame connector. On my 2013, if I slide of the rubber boot in either direction I can see or even feel a connector in there.
