When the problem returns, pull out the fuel pump relay. Confirm that you have one terminal hot all the time (B+), and a second terminal hot with the ignition switch in the on position. At cranking the pump is turned on again full time to complete the full pressure allowed by the regulator. When you test for pump performance you need to do a key on several times to see how far the pressure builds. It should build to about 35 psi +/-. You need to check this out first then act on the results.
