Eau Claire, WI. If your torsion bars are not broken, they are more than likely not the issue. It is the shocks, lower and upper bushings along with sway bar bushings causing your noise. Like Kern said, get some Bilstein shocks and new bushings installed along with a fresh wheel alignment.

From my research i've been told to use the drop spindles instead of adjusting the torsion bars. I will be most likely installing 18 inch wheels as well. Yes, 1980 was the last year for the 360 in passenger cars. It was only available in the 4 door F bodies, but still an option in the Cordoba and Mirada J bodies, as well as the R bodies. That means the fit of most headers on your B engine will be less then ideal. I have never owned a 383 or 400 engine so I am curious as to how a lower deck height could affect header fitment so much.
