The reMarkable has much less functionality, but everything about it from hardware to OS to UI is made towards a single purpose, a great (but limited) digital paper experience. The Boox can do anything I want it too, but ends feeling more like a crappy android tablet experience than an overly capable e-ink device.The Boox works faster. With the RM2 it takes ages to open up any large pdfs or epubs. In the RM2 you don't have bookmarks, you can't see the notes or markings on an index. The RM2 is not made for that.
