I had credit for 1152 (through AP Calc BC) before coming to OSU, but I had the choice of either 1172 or 2153 to finish my engineering calculus sequence. P.S. Calc 3 (2153) will double count as a math/science elective and a part of your engineering calc sequence if you continue with CSE. Some of the other engineering majors also require 2153. 1152 goes way deeper into sequences and series while 1172 kinda squeaks by it and moves on to the first section of calc 3. I'm in 1172 right now. We skipped the remainders section of taylor series, and we will be skipping polar coordinates. However, we are given extra credit opportunities to work of these on our own.
