Spec war it, get a 12" piston for the shovelnose. No idea how nice the sionics is, but I got my 16" midlength di barrel chopped to 12.5 and it's fantastic. There are lots that are sr pattern, but they don’t line up Cosmetically. The MWS lower is actually a slightly modded MK11 lower and semi ambi. ArmaLite a pattern 308 lowers will work and you can use one of the uppers on lmt. Lmt and kac are the only true pattern correct ones. No sense in going 11.5 in MLC upper. I skidded 11.5 with LMT. 12.5" is a midlength gas system and obviously 1" longer barrel length than the 11.5" which is a carbine length gas system.
