I just performed a test on my own Kia Soul, (full spec's in my signature line) and here's what I found. (I have my Scan Gauge II, set to display RPM's in real time) At a cold start, my idling RPM was at 1300. After a brief warm up, that dropped to ~1000 RPM. So I decided to clean the throttle body air intake valve and area, something I have not yet done on the Kia but have done a few times on Nissan off-road vehicles.
