The router, however, has a 2.5 gbps port - re: LAN4 which would be better suited as the output port. I do not see any option when I log into the router to change the output port when the router is in Bridge mode.
XB8 has better Wi-Fi specs than your router. If you don't have Wi-Fi 6 or 6E devices, then you won't see a difference in speed.
