2015 ram 1500 ecodiesel service electronic throttle control.
2015 Ram 1500 with 32,000 miles. This is the third time I have received the message and had the engine go into limp mode. The first time the truck was 2 months old, it was 30 degrees out and I had parked it for about an hour. The dealer had it for 2 days and all they did was a software update.

A small red Lighting Bolt was also visible while the message was on the screen. The message disappeared after 30 seconds or so. The tune has the engine braking, high idle and regen msg options. EGR is disabled of course. Ended up whoever did the tune unplugged EGT #1 and once plugged in voila problem solved.Service tech told me that the engineers at Chrysler are scratching their heads over this as they aren't sure what to do, told me it appears to be an epidemic across the country. So far everything has been covered under warranty. ETC (electronic throttle control) came on April 25 2017 (seventh time) was down until May 10.
